Vehicle manufacturers are continuing to advance vehicle construction for safety, appearance and fuel economy. Tomorrow’s repair technician will need to keep educated with these advances and will find a career that is both rewarding and challenging.
This program will focus on preparing the student for an entry level position as well as prepare them to advance their career in Auto Collision Repair. All phases of repair are encompassed. Modern vehicles are built with many advanced technologies including alloyed metals, safety systems such as supplemental restraint systems and various vehicle control systems. With hands–on training and classroom theory as part of the program’s instruction, Students will learn how to properly repair damaged vehicles including repairing and replacing panels, working with sophisticated automotive finishes, and plastics. The Auto Collision Repair lab is well-lighted and equipped to industry standards. This gives the students a clean environment for learning and instructs the student in the safe use of hand and power tools, as well as the use of the latest equipment in the collision repair industry. At the end of the program, a student’s job readiness and mastery of skills will be measured based on industry-approved testing and standards.
